Main Heating has been making boilers in Britain since 1907 and has been part of the Baxi Group since 2001. Today the Main Eco Compact and Eco Elite share their core heat exchanger geometry, fan, pump and many electronic components with the Baxi 200 and 600 ranges — but typically sell for £150 to £300 less fully fitted. There's a small trade-off in casing finish and display polish, but mechanically you're buying very similar engineering to a Baxi at a price point that genuinely competes with the cheapest entry-level Worcester or Ideal models.
Eco Compact and Eco Elite explained
The Eco Compact is the smallest combi in the Baxi Group line-up — available in 24 kW and 30 kW, a clear LCD display, a compact chassis that fits where almost nothing else will, and a 5-year guarantee as standard. It's the boiler we reach for first on tight kitchen-cupboard installations. The Eco Elite steps up with a slightly larger heat exchanger and OpenTherm-compatible modulating controls, also offered in 24 kW and 30 kW with a 5-year guarantee. Across both ranges, ErP A-rated efficiency and easy serviceability mean low running costs and low repair bills.
