1. About us

Instant Plumbing & Heating is a family-run heating and plumbing business based in Chorley, Lancashire (Gas Safe Register No. 677053). These terms govern the use of our website and the services we provide.

2. Quotes & pricing

Online quotes are estimates based on the information you provide. Final pricing is confirmed in writing after a survey or site visit. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

3. Bookings & cancellations

Bookings are confirmed once we acknowledge them by phone or email. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a non-emergency appointment.

4. Workmanship & warranties

All work is carried out to Gas Safe standards. New boiler installs carry the manufacturer's warranty (typically 7–12 years) and our own 12-month workmanship guarantee. Warranties may require annual servicing to remain valid.

5. Payment

Payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing. We accept bank transfer and card payment. Late payments may incur interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate.

6. Liability

We hold £5 million public liability insurance. Our liability for any single job is limited to the value of that job, except where law prevents such limitation (death, personal injury or fraud).

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

9. Call-out fee & cancellation policy

For all reactive (non-installation) jobs, an advance call-out fee is payable at the point of booking. This fee secures your slot, reserves an engineer, and offsets the cost of travel and lost time should we attend and find that the work has already been completed by another contractor without the booking being cancelled in good time.

You are of course free to engage another contractor at any point. However, to receive a refund of the advance call-out fee, the original booking must be cancelled by telephone (01257 781481) or email (hello@instantplumbingandheating.co.uk) at least 2 hours before the agreed arrival window. Cancellations made inside that window, or no-access at the property on arrival, are non-refundable as the engineer has already been mobilised.

Where we fail to attend within the arrival window stated at the time of booking — and the delay is not caused by traffic incidents, a prior emergency, severe weather, or any other event reasonably outside our control — the call-out fee will be refunded in full within 5 working days, on request.

10. Finance

We do not offer credit, finance or instalment payment options of any kind. Any third-party materials suggesting otherwise are not endorsed by us. Payment terms are as set out in section 5 above.
