How our boiler quote tool works — in plain English
Get fast online boiler quotes for a new boiler with an honest, fixed price. Below we explain how the tool sizes a boiler for your home, how to use it if you already have a model in mind, and what's included in the price.
Using the tool — step by step
You answer a handful of simple questions about your home and current setup. We use those answers to recommend boilers that fit, and we show the all-in price — no hidden extras.
1. Tell us about your home
Property type, bedrooms and bathrooms. This drives the heating and hot-water demand.
2. Your current boiler
Combi, system, regular or back-boiler. We adjust the install work and price accordingly.
3. New boiler type
Pick combi, system or regular. Not sure? Most homes stay with the same type to keep costs down.
4. Flue details
Where the flue exits and its height — this affects materials, access and labour.
5. We size the boiler
We recommend a kW output that matches your demand — never undersized, never wastefully large.
6. Fixed price options
You'll see 3–4 boilers across budget to premium with full warranty info and an all-in fitted price.
Why sizing (kW) matters
A boiler's kW rating is how much heat it can produce. Pick the wrong size and you'll either run out of hot water in the shower, or burn fuel heating a boiler that's far bigger than your home needs.
- Combi boilers are sized by hot-water demand — mainly the number of bathrooms.
- System & regular boilers are sized by heating load — mainly home size and radiators.
- More bathrooms = more kW. A 24kW combi suits a 1-bed flat; a 35–40kW combi suits a busy family home.
- Bigger isn't always better — oversized boilers cycle on and off, wasting gas and shortening their life.
Quick sizing guide (combi)
Rough guide only — the tool factors in property type, current setup and flow rate to refine the recommendation.
